C'était il y a un an. A l'occasion de l'inauguration de la superbe mairie, avait été organisé un grand concert blues donné par le célèbre Jean-Jacques Milteau Milteau et son quintet. Près de mille personnes avaient répondu à l'invitation en réservant leurs places. Devant un tel succès, le maire Claude Bérit-Debat, en collaboration avec le Comité des fêtes, ont décidé de pérenniser cette manifestation. Est donc né ce premier festival qui, depuis jeudi soir 18 heures, a proposé sur la scène géante installée près du Centre socio-culturel des concerts successifs. Tout d'abord, histoire de créer l'ambiance, c'est la classe de jazz de Daniel Roux qui a présenté trois formations d'élèves, du trio au sextet. Ensuite, le Big Sax et sa vingtaine d'élèves a pris la relève devant près de trois cents personnes avant que l'orchestre d'Harmonie départementale, dirigé par Francis Célérier, ne rende, entre autres, un hommage à Louis Amstrong. La soirée d'hier proposait un plateau exceptionnel avec Daniel Huck, Séverine Caupain, Pat Giraud et Simon (nous y reviendrons dans une prochaine édition).
